Stories Of Success

Personal journeys, reflections, and lived experiences that challenge and expand our understanding of success.

Success Is Living A Healthy, Peaceful Life While Continuing To Grow Through New Experiences

Lahari is currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science Engineering and lives with her parents and sibling. Growing up, she was known for being talkative, a quality that often drew complaints during parent-teacher meetings. Over time, however, she realised that what others saw as a flaw was actually one of her greatest strengths, her ability to communicate, connect with people, and express herself confidently.

Inspired by her love for conversation and storytelling, Lahari first dreamed of becoming a journalist. Later, after listening to radio programmes and the voices behind them, she discovered a new aspiration, to become a Radio Jockey. While her family places great importance on formal education, she continues to nurture her passion for speaking and hopes to build a future that combines both her interests and ambitions.

For her, success is not defined by academic achievement alone, but by living a healthy, wealthy, and peaceful life while continuing to learn, explore, and grow.

Success Means Having A Peaceful Mind And A Happy Soul.

Manoj is a final-year B.Com student who was raised by his mother, whose resilience and unwavering support have shaped much of his journey. Growing up, financial constraints meant that many opportunities were out of reach, but Manoj learned to find creative ways to pursue the things he loved. Passionate about drawing and music, he taught himself skills like sketching and playing the guitar through free online resources when formal training was not an option.

For Manoj, success is not about reaching a final destination or achieving a specific milestone. Goals change over time, but what matters most is being able to navigate life's ups and downs with resilience, creativity, and a sense of inner peace. Success, he believes, is having a peaceful mind, a happy soul, and the courage to embrace each day as it comes.

Success Is Having The Courage To Pursue What I Love.

Shalini is a B.Com student who grew up watching her mother work tirelessly as an auto driver while also running a small pooja shop to support the family. From a young age, she found joy in dance after attending a free dance class, and it quickly became a passion that stayed with her through the years.

As she grew older, Shalini realised that pursuing dance as a career was not seen as a practical or acceptable path by her family. While she continued to nurture her passion, she often struggled to find the confidence to fully embrace her dream in the face of these expectations.

While engaging in conversation and workshops around Redefining Success, Shalini found a space to express herself and share her identity as a dancer. She was able to gain confidence in her abilities and reaffirm her belief in the importance of following her passion. She hopes that one day her family will fully support her dream.

For Shalini, success is not about meeting conventional expectations, but about having the courage to pursue what she loves and stay true to herself.

Success Is Becoming A Better Version Of Myself While Creating Opportunities For Others.

Rahul is a third-year B.Com student who grew up in a modest household with his parents and two sisters. From an early age, he was deeply interested in agriculture and dreamed of building a future that would support farmers, whom he believes are the backbone of society.

His aspirations, however, did not align with the expectations of those around him. While his family encouraged a more conventional path, Rahul remained determined to pursue his own vision. One of the defining moments in his journey came when he chose to enrol in a government college despite opposition from his family. After weeks of persistence, he secured his admission, a decision that reinforced his belief in standing by what mattered to him.

Although academics have not always been Rahul's strongest suit, he remains committed to his long-term goals. He hopes to gain work experience after graduation before eventually pursuing farming and contributing to the agricultural sector.

For Rahul, success is not measured solely by marks, degrees, or career milestones. It is about taking steps towards independence, supporting his family, creating opportunities for others, and becoming a better version of himself every day.
